Samco Turbo Inlet Hose Question

Please don't tell me that ECS sent me the wrong hose. It fits 100% but I think it is missing one of the holes to connect one of the return or vacum lines. Do I have to cap that off? Do I have to make my own hole? Or is it just the wrong one? PLEASE HELP!!

Samco installed: See the line that I have no where to put.

this is the factory one I removed: see the inlet closest to the opening that attaches to the MAF. that's the one that is missing.

Thanks A lot. Unfortunately ECS did not send one with it. I will call them and hopefully they will ship me one. Do you know the inside diameter of those hoses just incase I need to find one for myself?

Yeah, see, you need to use the included plastic T and cut another hose:

ECS has no idea about this. I explained to Jack and even sent him the pics. Looks like I am on my own to find this T fitting.

Do you think I can find at Auto Zone or Home Depot? Does anyone know what size I should look for?

Or any other suggestions?

IIRC, that line is an alternate purge for the vacuum reservoir or the brake booster... pre-turbo engine vacuum sucks air out of that line and into the big intake hose at that small port.

Buy a multi-size pack of "T" fittings from autozone/pepboys/etc. I'm gonna guess the 1/8" or 3/16" fittings are the right ones.

JamesBondage's picture shows that line Tee-ing into the EVAP purge line, IIRC.

does anyone see any performance out of this or is it just to replace it so you know its all good?

No performance gain from the hose....... unless the OE was leaking air somewhere.
According to Borg-Warner engineers, the more laminar the flow into the turbo, the better. Getting rid of the humpty-humps of the stock TIH is a big step in the right direction.

Oh yeah, my OEM hose actually was bumpy. I don't know what I was smoking at the time.

As far as the T, I have no idea. I had my indy shop install the hose for me. The mechanic told me that he couldn't find a place for one of the hoses and asked me if the SAMCO kit came with any other peices, I remembered I had the T in my pocket, handed it to him, and he said "that's it!" and finished the install.

Are we talking bumpy on the inside, or bumpy on the outside? My stock hose has ribs on the outside for flex, but is smooth on the inside.

obviously is smooth on the inside and yes it is custom made.Look:

Whoa Rogerius, I wasn't talking about your creation, just the other comments debating the stock hose characteristics. And, yes, I think it is clear your TIP is custom made.

did anyone else experience this? but this past weekend when attempting to install the samco, one of the ports extending from the hose was too short/stubby and thus i could not get the clamp to lock down without sliding up each time?

any solution to this? i even tried a 2nd thinner clamp and that still kept sliding up as i tightened it.
