This is old, but still funny as hell. Wouldn't it have made sense to pull it from the same way it went in? And who decided to attach the strap to the damn front axle?? I knew exactly which video this would be from the title, but was thinking how to not get a jeep out of the mud. Dumb redneckersons. I guess that's how they roll in PA?

 

If they had attached the strap to the axle the damage wouldn't look like this. It's just that they didn't shovel it out. The wheel was stuck and thus didn't move with the car when it was pulled ...

well, I guess that is ONE way to do it. Haven't those guys ever got their boots stuck in mud? What happened when they yanked on their leg to get it unstuck? Did it work? No...your boot stayed in the mud.

In case anyone was wondering, if you have a stubborn pinch bolt, that just won't come out of its hiding place, this is another relatively easy solution to remove it...

 

Standard recovery tools are a high-lift jack and some cribbing (wood). That and some technique would have got it out in one piece.

I do love the sound of that turbo diesel. :thumbup:
