No clutch, mine is okay for now. The updated road dyno was done in 87F, 60% humidity. Really want to try one in the 70F's.

I don't think anyone makes software for the B5.5 with k04. Even if there is one, the gain over the k03 isn't worth it. Spanky McGee and NUISANCE puts down over 210whp with their k03.

Sure, I have a 2001.5 tiptrans, you have to buy the GIAC Tip chip with the K04 upgrade but it certianly doesn't need a level 10 upgrade. I think I read somewhere the Tiptrans will hold 240whp safely, anything over that would need beefing up, a K04 will give you 210-220 tops so it's safe.

The Software is an Audi CH pogram (at elast that's what my mechanic used and he's a licensed GIAC dealer so he is VERY knowledgable on this stuff, plus he specializes in VW and audi's performance upgrades, infact that's all he does, self employed)...

The CH file seems to work on the Passat ecu's from BQ to at least CM. It's a good thing because they've made it pretty clear they'd never clone a program for us.

There's a difference between 2001.5 B5.5's and 02-05 b5.5's? I wasn't aware of that, I thought the engine code was AWM on all B5.5's.

I've had runs with peak torque as high as 250 ft lbs, see the post from 8/11. This program calculates wheel numbers, so the 220 ft lbs on this graph is what, 255-260 ctq? The thing that really makes it fly is the sustained torque out to 5500 rpm, not just a brief surge of power. 40-80 mph in 6.5 seconds.

I should be getting on a Mustang dyno in November.

Latest numbers, just about the best overall yet. Got rid of some of the flakiness in the high rpm range and kept running strong up top by running a slightly lower boost program. Nice high, flat torque curve. This was at about 47F, +3 degrees timing advance via Lemmiwinks. Blue line is maf g/sec. This was with BQk05 program, 310cc Ford Motorsport injectors @ 50 psi fuel pressure and slightly larger maf housing (2.63" ID).

Right now that's it. May reduce the primary fuel tweak to lean it up a tad, but otherwise it's good. With the colder temps and the FMIC, I can get by with the timing increase, might be able to still get more. Here's part of the log.

Normal cruising, 7-10C over ambient. Peak under WOT gets to 19-23C over ambient. So 45F outside, I'm seeing IAT's of about 15C cruising and 27-30C peak. Very cool.

May be a dumb question, but how are you able to adjust your programming? Are you still running a GIAC preprogrammed software, or have you gone the custom route?

The GIAC file is the start and then timing advance and certain fueling parameters can be adjusted with Lemmiwinks. It's not like writing a whole program or standalone. The changes go across all rpm levels so you can't just modify a certain range.
