If you want the 2000 style Switchblade Key & Remote you need to get a remote with the number: HL0 1J0 959 753 F. And then you can just get a key cut at your dealer for $60 US.
If you want a 2001 and up style Switchblade Key & Remote that has a red LED that flashes when you press a button, you need to get a remote with the number: HL0 1J0 959 753 T. And then you can just get a key cut at your dealer for $60 US.
And If your dealer says anything about them have to program your actual new key that they just cut, just ignore them, they don't know what their talking about. You do not need to program the key, just the remote. And you can program the remote by yourself from the instructions found somewhere in your '99 manual. It's the same way as programing a "banjo" style remote.
