Yeahh I hear ya. Kbb is saying 9400.. but who knows how reliable that is. I think if I could pull them to 8500 or lower I might.. but those miles! Damn.

 

I've seen same year A4's with around 75k go for that price at dealers near me. Waiting for the right one pays off.

Inside the intake manifold. The FSI engines are direct injected, so fuel is sprayed directly into the cylinder. Since there is nothing passing over the valves to clean them, they get carbon buildup.

Rule of thumb. If the dealer calls you with a great car they want to sell you.............................run.

 

Hahah nah this is a local used car dealer, I bought my first car (B5 A4) from them and had a good experience so I told them to call me if they take in any manual audis around my price range.

 

The carbon cleanup isn't an expensive procedure to have done at the dealer, at least not for the four cylinder FSI engines.

 

In that case, if I do decide to buy I'll make sure they take care of that for me, and show me the valves

Yeahh it was bought in 2009 with 47k so the last owner drove a lot. It could be a chance to get a newer fully loaded car in ridiculously good shape for a low price, if they come down a good amount. At least that's one way to look at it haha

 

I've looked around my area(NE Ohio) and I'd say that $7800 - $8500 would be a good price, but start at $7500 and negotiate.

I told him I was in the 7s and he didn't seem to wanna play ball too much. He thinks they'll get the asking price so I said let me know if anything changes and walked out
