Dismount the center console, then you can see two silver clamps on the left and right. Push them to the inner side (with a small screwdriver f.e., then you can pull out the cup-holder.

 

What's this about dismounting the center console? I had to do no such thing to change mine.

You pry off the end cap to the left, and (with the cup holder open) pull off the trim strip on the front edge. It took me a good 20 minutes of fiddling to find just the right angle for the clips (with a jeweler's screwdriver) but it was easy once I got the knack. Release one side, angle it out slightly, release the other side. Note: if you angle it too far after the first clip, the other one won't release.
