I really like the little cubby below the steering wheel in the B5.5's. Has anyone tried to fit the lower dash panel from the 5.5 into a B5? It looks like the same panel, but without removing one of each, It' hard to tell. I can get one from a local salvage yard, but I'd like to know if it fit before I go through it all.

Not only a cubby hole, but also a manual holder so you don't have it cluttering your glove box. VERY good idea, but your car probably has stuff behind that area so even if the panel fit it wouldn't go in all the way. Not sure, here's a bump.

You actually get your manual in the glove box????? Mine literally won't fit . I have it between the amp and the jack in the rack in the back where the changer goes.

Walked out to my car after reading Paradigm's post and immediately took the manual out of the glove and into its proper place under the steering wheel. A lot better. You can learn new things everyday. Just like that little sun visor behind the rear view mirror. Never knew it was there until somebody posted a pic of it. I love this forum.

My understanding is that the lower dash will fit but you have to remove the metal brace part that goes behind it. Not sure if the B5.5 metal will fit in the place, but if you're ok without the metal protector you can do it. As I understand it
