Anyone want this? The bulk of the cost is in the shipping as this needs a bigger box. I want it to go to a home where it'll be appreciated, rather than a landfill. It's an upgrade if you don't have the black color and if you don't have a cubby under your steering wheel currently. Pickup for...

I've got a 2002 Passat with the Monsoon Premium package (with CD changer). I'd like to get the single CD player that fits in the cubby area below the HU. This is the one that allows for single CD play with switchover to the changer. Anyone got one to offer? John

Lower dash part on B5.5's driver side. Has the cubby hole on the left and the storage slot for the car literature underneath the steering wheel. I'd like to get one in black for my b5. Thanks! Edit: Got one! :D

Had 2 of these laying around. Decided to sell one and put one in the wagon. Its in great shape. Has all its mounting tabs. $65 shipped

I had a genious idea to make a faceplace and use the existing hole on the cubby as a sub box but as luck turns out it doesn't work at all, the hole simply isn't solid enough. i'm looking for a premade fiberglass or mdf box that fits in the drivers side cubby hole. I don't need a sub, but if the...

Last year I replaced the OEM stereo with an off the shelf Kenwood unit, which fits nicely in the top DIN slot. Below, I still have the old CD player sitting there doing nothing. I'd like to take this unit out and replace it with a cubby hole / storage unit, which would be a great place to...

Stumped after trying to remove the above (took off two front side screws but didn't see anything else). Hope one does NOT need to take off ENTIRE left rear carpeted molding assembly that fits the whole left side? to expose side screws facing front of car to dislodge 6 CD Changer. Also does one...

Did the install yesterday, went really well. I'm happy with my choice of gauge as well, the NewSouth matches very well with the rest of the interior. Now I just need it to become a permanent fixture. The two pics below show where I'm trying to mount it. Anyone have any ideas for how to do...

I was looking at some of the custom enclosures that have been posted, and started to do some mock up cuts just to see how everything would fit. This is just a preliminary placement - the whole for the sub is not even centered - or accurate, just wanted to get an idea. Is this where most of you...

Does anyone make a guage pod for the cubby hole in the dash? If so who and do you have a link? One, two, or three guages I don't care. If not I want to make one any pointers. If this has been covered before just give me a link there.

I own a '99 B5 passat, and I absolutely hate the DIN Cubby Hole. It is about 2" wider than a radio-sized slot, about the same height and depth, and relatively useless. I would like to install something useful (like a turbotimer) in this slot, but have no idea how to make it even look clean...

For those who installed the Phatbox without cutting a hole in the cubby door....how's it holding up? Is anyone having trouble with pressure on the cable and cartridge? I just purchased a Phatbox and would like to install the system without having to cut the hole. TIA...James

I'm loving it. Redid my entire system. The knob there is a Remote Base Control for my JL 500/1. The ERAG320 face is DIN sized but only about 1 inch thick. I'm not certain if the cubby is deep enough for a full depth DIN unit (the VW CD changer fits though).

My dash is Single DIN and I need to move my radio to the cubby hole, in order to install an in dash LCD above the radio. I know I can make the conversion to double DIN, but I'm trying to save over $150 in parts plus some installation time. Does anyone have installed something in that area ? I...

Hi all!!! My first post :) I installed an aftermarket radio (Eclipse) and I now have an empty din. The radio place installed a pocket / cubby, but I just think it looks ridiculous because it has a think border in the front that sticks out quite far from the rest of the trim... Where can I...

Can anyone tell me how to remove the single-DIN cubby? I popped it in before realizing that I still needed access behind the cubby  , and I can't figure out how to get it back out. (My car came with the in-dash CD player, so I never had to take it out to begin with.) Joe (BoeserBlick)...
