I hadnt realized that only the V2 were Koni... oh well. I can only say I've had great experiences with my V1's. I dont track the car & have only really just used them fro street & highway racing. No problems. The wierd thing is, when I had my Bilsteins and H&R Sports, I actually felt as f the car was "bouncier". I dunno if coils are designed to hold to the ground better, but I;ve never felt more connected to the ground... but that could be my sways too.stealthx32 said:The Swami raced his KW V1s iirc, and he blew the shocks.... Race proven to...fail. 8) But in their defense, their coilovers were listed as street coilovers in the first place (not that my Bilsteins said "street shocks" , but oh well).
BTW, the KW V1s are NOT Koni shocks. Only the V2s are, iirc.
V1s are height adjustable.
V2s are height and rebound adjustable.
V3s are height, rebound, AND compression adjustable...
I'm not sure how useful compression adjustments are, since compression should be controlled by your spring rate, and not your shock... :weirdo:
Honestly, the H&R's would be a better setup when compared to the KW Suspension's V1 coilovers. I raced KW's V1 for a few months and upgraded to V2's on my Passat 4 Motion, and the V2's did fail when I got nudged into some hard debris that bottomed out my car. KW fixed the issue quickly, but by that time I installed H&R's to get me back on the track.PhatRabbitzz said:Which suspension is bettter, the KW V1 or the H&R Coilovers?
