it is getting bored 40 over hence the bore of 82mm stock is 81 and forged internals will help handle whats coming in the spring

i think im gonna have to pass you on that hill lol and the motor work is being done by r&r machining and all the motor work is being done now, and come spring the big toys will be coming to play

whats the compression of those pistons? also, does this bore make the 1.8t a 1.9 or 2.0 hybrid possibly.

 

the compression on the piston is 9.25:1 which is a little lower than stock the other option was 8.5:1 which was to low for me.

i am intrigued by this build, but if you think i am amazed wait until you see what i have planned for my engine build. theres a good chance the engine will be built before the car is done :lol:

 

I LOVE seeing rebuilds (read: bore + stroke) here on PW. This way I don't have to wander over to AZ to see some engine work. Keep it up, keep us in the loop :thumbup:
