Yeap been keeping busy trying to get ready for VagKraft.

I just painted my front badgeless grill this afternoon with the can of paint I got at Canadian Tire the other day. The paint matches 100%, I couldn't be happier with it or the awesome paint job I did on it.

The other paint that I painted my spoiler with did not match at all to my car's paint color. Because I still have half the can of the paint that matches my car's color, I'm going to take off my spoiler and re-paint it with this good paint so it'll match too. No sense leaving it unmatched if I already have the paint to use.

Hey Dean, I got your message about the door problems. I got back from wasaga beach late last night so I couldn't really get back to you. Anyways, I'm not living at home anymore so I only have access to my buddies tools every once and a while but this week if not whole month is going to be ridiculously hectic as I get my car, living situation, and school situation back in order. I'll try to let you know when I have a free second. :salute:

Thanks a lot for getting back to me Chris, a buddy of mine with a MK3 Jetta lent me his tools. It appears that someone other than me tried to take that door off and striped the screw, so I can't get the screw out now. I even took it to a couple shops and they said they don't even wanna bother trying to take it out as they could ruin it more than it already is and never get it out.  :banghead:

So I don't know what I'm gonna do about it yet, the new door is still in my garage waiting to be put on.

Update: My new door is on the car officially now and I had it tinted with the same tint as my other doors have.

I also just dropped off my whole front bumper to a friend of a friends body shop to be painted for VagKraft. I should have it back sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Can't wait for VagKraft!

I planned on swapping my taillights this afternoon. Before I did so, I stripped the NightShade paint off my drivers side taillight and re-spraid it myself and made it a darker shade of black. I did this because it was almost red in color and did not match the passenger side taillight that was a dark shade of black. So they match a lot better now.

After the paint dried I installed both taillights. And then I saw that in my passenger side taillight, the parking light didn't work. :( So I went to Canadian Tire to get a new bulb and installed it in their parking lot and it still didn't work. :banghead:

So I just decided to go home and check the fuses and sure enough, the fuse was blown. S.O.B.!!! :banghead:

I have to find my other burnt fuse still...

I have one that burnt for my back 12V plug in.

My front one burnt too bc a dime fell into it. lmao.

I also am burning my fog fuse. I hit a bump early summer and the front came down hard and fogs hasn't worked since.

Thanks, I fixed my exhaust leak just now and I will try to e-test it tomorrow. If I don't pass I'll have to invest in one of those and I'll replace my flex pipe at the same time.

This car is sucking up all of my cash.
I got a bit of an exhaust leak.. from the flex pipe.. but i don't want to fix as i want to do a 2.5 eventually. any ideas for the quickfix?

Update: I got my custom built headlights back!

Not 100% happy with them and they'll have to go back to the shop and get done better but I've got them on the car for now all installed and wired up. They look OK, I'm just nit picky about a couple things. 1st thing is that they painted my shrouds black! I never told them to and the shrouds were chrome before and I wanted them to stay chrome, so there gonna have to get me new shrouds. 2nd thing is, is that they did not cover the side of the projectors with metal sheets, they just left big gapping holes and it looks real bad and because of this, there's tons of light leaking through the sides of the projectors. :(

So I plan on taking them back in a weeks time to give me a chance to get a loaner set of headlights so I can drive my car while my headlight issues get looked after.

Thanks a lot for the invite Charles but as I said, I was out of town. :(

Wish I could have came out for a GTG with you guys.

Update: Just installed my VVME HID relay wiring kit and my 173 relay and I now have HID's as my DRL's!

Awesome, I'm almost in full winter mode now, all that's left to do is raise my suspension. :)

Just ordered new FK black corner lights as mine went to the new owner of my old headlights, a new VVME D2S 5000k HID kit for my second set of projectors, and a antenna noise filter because I'm getting annoyed of all the static in my radio frequencies.
