What colors are best on a Passat

So I decided that it doesn't matter about the awards. It doesn't matter how rare your color car is. It matters about the shine.

A month or so ago there was a link on a porter cable and the results of the process that made the car shine. I felt the need to go out and pick up a biffer and also got a clay bar and different polishes too.

Wow, what a difference. I've seen alot of cars out there, but when a Passat is clean, it shines. The best colors I've seen are different reds, various color blues (darker the better), black (personal farorite), and greens. Not saying that the other colors aren't just as snappy, but I haven't seen a white car shine like a mirror like the one's below. Take a look.

A clean car is key. I sure do appreciate a car that looks like a mirror when clean compaired to a car that is just clean.

/\ That's what I'm talking about /\

One thing about the color is that some colors (darker colors like blue, green, red, and black) can reflect better than lighter ones (silverstone grey, white). The reflective colors are, in my opinion, better looking when clean comapired to the lighter colors.

Agreed! It's hard to keep my car clean since I live in the NW, but the silverstone grey does a good job of hiding dirt. ;)

I'm gonna have to agree. Granted, my car might not look quite as shiny and reflective when it's all waxed and what not, but my silverstone grey will look cleaner a lot longer than any of those blacks and blues. Another thing that can be said about lighter colors is the hood isn't absorbing as much heat, and that means a cooler engine compartment which = better performance.

i love my black and I have the porter cable polisher you are talking about. I am getting ready to work on it Saturday all day from wash to finish. I plan on using nxt wash, clay, poorboys ssr 2.5, polish with carnuba, and nattys blue paste wax to seal it. Poorboys is by far the best shine, wetness, and best to remove i have ever used! I love the stuff.
