If it's the wheel bearing, it will get really loud over time [a B17 droning kind of loud]. Does the squeek stop if you tap the brake?

 

Not to highjack, but I have this exact same problem and mine does stop while I brake

 

John, check out my post about rubbing/screeching sound. I say it might be a bolt to your splash shield.

 

I have the same exact problem. A mechanic said something needs to be tightened like a ball joint or something. A creaking sound when I turn left same thing

 

Check the outer tie rod ends. If the boots are torn, water gets in there. Spray some grease and it may quiet down. You will need to replace the ends as the ball joint wears quickly once water and dirt get in there.

It happens during turning not going straight

 

Check the dust sheild behind your rotor, if there's been any work done and someone grabbed for leverage, that can easily get bent enough to rub and cause nasty squeals when turning.

 

It can happen when I'm turning and if I'm going straight but it's random like on day it will squeak and I'll let it sit for a couple of hours then it won't squeak at all

 

Spoke with a mechanic after getting my car fixed he stated it has to do with something about a CV / ball joint something like PZ said. He said it is not dangerous in turning, it becomes dangerous/needs fixing when it starts squeaking while you are going straight as well, not only turning. To fix it is like a $140 part. Gl.

Haha sorry to say but it doesn't stop when I brake how did you fix it?

 

I have the same problem....Mainly when I turn to extreme rights or lefts during parking the car. my mechanic said its the rust on the lip of the rotors and that i should replace them ever time I replace my brake pads...I trust his word so Im going for it. lets see if it helps.

 

W that you mentioned it when I took off my wheel it was pretty rusty I'll just have to look closer and see tell me if it works
