I have a 08 lux. I thought I read there was a way to show speed on the MFD. Is there a way to do this without VAGCOM? Thanks.

I think you nee to push the wrench and hold it down while the car is in park. Saw something about it in the Manuel. Mine has MPH in the bottom right with the trip info....

I was l trying to reset the serves now and some how switch it in the process to show MPH. Still trying to figure it out. If you find out please post….:D

changing from kph to mph is easy, it's in the settings menu in the MFD. Just hold down the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk then move through the items with the buttons on the end of the wiper stalk. When trying to open a sub menu, hit the button on the bottom again. All kinds of stuff listed there, but this is the first time I've heard you can have your speed show.

Hold the wrench button down.... While holding it down press the 0.0 button it should cycle through to The kph.... This will display in the odometer area... Not in the MFD...And only while moving will it give you a reading... So when you ate parked it will revert back to displaying your odometer....

Ive been trying to sort this problem too...my recently acquired Passat estate, which I am not sure, B6 ? B7 Local dealer tells me its a 'C3' that's all I need to know !!!
Anyway...heres what my 'Owners Manual' says ... 'word for word'

Second speedometer display (mph or km/h)
In addition to the tachometer display, the speed can also be displayed in another unit of measurement (mph or km/h) while you are driving.
To do this, select the menu option 'Second speed' in the Settings menu.

Start the engine.
Press the button (shows a small pic of two rectangles joined in one corner...If you have this model, this is the small button to left of rev counter/temp display) press 3 times.
The odometer in the combi-instrument display flashes.
Press the button '0.0/Set' (If you have this model, this is the small button to right of speedometer/fuel gauge) Once.
The vehicle speed in "km/h" or "mph" is shown briefly in the display instead of the odometer.
This turns on the second speedometer display.
It can be deactivated in the same manner.
It is not possible to switch off the second speedometer display in those countries where the law stipulates that the display cannot be deactivated.

Hope that helps someone somewhere...it didn't for me ! I seem to be stuck with KPH !!!
