It doesn't look nice and if I were you, I wouldn't go there, unless you want the 4x4 look......

Yes, CWay27's car is lowered.
I believe he is using the Bilstein / Neuspeed setup according to his profile However, I am sure that he will soon post and give you a greater detail then that.

And ignore the "..." he just replied to the wrong thread, and edited his post.

In that picutre, I have bilstein / neuspeed suspension and 18" wheels. I'll be putting 19" this spring....just waiting for the weather.

I have a good 1.75" drop and that's not to say 2". The front shocks have ajustable purch and I still have one notch down to go. In the back, I didn't put the rubber mounts at both ends of the spring.

There's a few guys on this forum with stock suspension and 18s. A good idea would be tirerack. Just select your car and 19" wheels and that will help you see how 4x4 it looks.

Good luck. Are you at your first mods?

Couldnt you just fill that gap with some bigger tires or a bigger rim? I just dont get it :-(

You need to make sure your width and height match up. If you go with a smaller sidewall, but not go wide enough then you will loose tire height. if you are running 225/17"s. The 225 is the width of the tire in millimeters, and the 45 is the aspect ratio or 55% of the tires width. Here is a good article on some more information regarding tire sizes and why? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/general/size.htm. Good luck

Well if I did have to lower it, How much do you think it would cost? I would just want to lower it enough to clean up the wheel well gap. Is it safe to lower it and what about warranty work?

I think that station wagon looks good. Where is this 4x4 look everyone talks about? What kind of rims are those?

Don't call it a station wagon. Call it a Variant.

The 4x4 look, if you have a big wheel gap. It actually looks bigger if you get bigger rims (even if your overall diameter would be the same as stock) because the sidewall of your tire is smaller compared to the wheel gap.

Uh okay... but I still say that the STATION WAGON looks nice and if it was my STATION WAGON I wouldnt lower it. I like STATION WAGONS!!!!

Does any else have a STATION WAGON on here that is lowered?

Yeah but I don't think ville's wagon is good example. First off B5 and B5.5 don't have the same height effect. B5s look smaller and second of all, she wanted to see a b5.5 with 19s at stock height.....Not slamed like ville's nor SaltyD. Salty was Mr. Slamm.

I think Dragon_bbt answered pretty well what you were looking for.

To Miss GoGirlGo :

You don't seem to know alot about wheels and mods and everything that revolves around cars but yet you still want 19s. How did you know what 19s look like? Why not 18s or then again, 14" steelies??

I was told the tallest rim I could put on my ride safely was 19" rims. That was from the dealer.
