What´s up ya´ll. I am tired of these TDI´s trying to hang with me over here on the autobahn. I am looking for some aftermarket mods for my gas guzzling 2.8. She is a smoothie with smooth acceleration, but I am looking for a kick in the ass with out spending 4 grand on the PES  supercharger. She has 70,000k´s (about 42,000 miles) and she is good to go.

Another quick set of questions. Any info on wear and tear parts and changing intervals for things like spark plugs, brakes, belts, O2 sensors, and anything else? Any info would be appreciated. :)

nothing nore than that I like it. I'll snap some photo's tonight and make a post for it. I haven't made me feed tube yet, so that's a bit rigged, but the rest is done (I modded the CDA so the MAFS mounts directly to it).

I'm gonna stop by a shop near Chicago the weekend of the National GTG and get it dynoed (it's a 4Mo, and that's the closest 4-wheel dyno).

Chip http://www.digi-tec.net/ German Co., +18 PS (I have it, very good)
or http://www.rsn-tuning.de/ German Co., +27 PS (they claim with 98 octan gasoline)

Intake http://www.bmcairfilters.com/ CDA II 85-150 (mid and high good but low sucks on mine '99 V6 4Mo Tip) F1 Ferari,Minardi supplier.Italians

Exhaust http://www.remus.at/ mufflers+ http://www.supersprint.com/ centre part + their manifold (soon)

If You want "key in the hand" go to http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de/

Rest, keep service intervals

ooh...when are you going? Since I'm a 4 mo and I'm going to the nat'l gtg, I'd like to find out what improvements I've gotten with the supersprint...

some help as well

Hey another American Passat owner in Germany, cool. I myself am at Giebelstadt Army Airfield outside Weurzberg. I am on 2 weeks leave from Iraq (got to go back till Dec. or so). I have a 2002 GLX 30v 4mo silverstone grey and have a buttload of cash saved up for mods. My question is do you know of anyplace over here (Germany) that will do the supercharger mod? Also any place for good quality mod parts at reasonable prices? I am for sure doing a brake upgrade (brakes suck on autobahn at over 100 m.p.h.), wheels and lowering, but all look with no go will not cut it. Any help would be great need to get this car up to A-Bahn standards! 8)[/img]

So far, as I know, in Germany they do not have s-chargers mod. for B5 only turbo by http://www.oettinger.de/ (turbo upgrade is not listed on site)
or try http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de/ (fastest answers and service I saw). Regarding brakes I can advice following: as long as they are quite expensive (~2500 euros or more) You can ask tax exemption because You are not EU citizen. I went to Italy,Milan visited shop for Brembo asked VAT refund (19% in Italy) and negotiated extra 20% of discount (this is discount that they give to retail shops) that in Italy are more keen to give than in other countries. Price from list was ~2300 Euros - 19%= ~1900 - 20%= ~1500 Euros. Here is site of official dealer of Brembo for Milano and region http://www.motorquality.it/ , and this is site where I went to buy after I spoke with Motorquality- http://www.rrs-tuning.com
Hope that this can help.
p.s. 4 piston, one piece, fixed calipers with Pagid pads
2 piece drilled discs, 320x28 mm (non coated)
set of hoses, "metalic"
brake liquid Motul
this was kit

julianfang,

I'm planning on doing it Friday (afternoon) on the way to Chicago (first stop).

It's a Dynapack Chassis Dynamometer, hydraulic (the type that you remove the wheels, and attach the dyno modules to each corner.

Go to www.grdperformance.com for the shop, and www.dynapackusa.com for the dyno details.

3-5 pulls for an AWD car is $150. Not cheap, but it IS a 4-Wheel dyno.

Let me know if you're interested, and we can set up a time to meet there.

Anyone come up with any new mods on thier V6 4mo lately?

This board has been so great! So far I've done the rear fog light mod, W8 dome light, added the warning triangle, euroswitch. Next is the suspension.

I've had my V6 4mo since 2000, wish I had come across this board a lot sooner!

So anyway, anything new in the V6 4mo category?

At the end of the month it is arriving my new mod -headers Supersprint
And I will try to put 280x20mm rear brake discs-seams that it will be neccessary to modify e-cables.

For those that have bigger breakes on front and do not have splash shields, I put on mine fronts- shields from W8 (shields from bigger rottors of W8),it is clean bolt on.
