I bet insurance gets cheap when you're up in the Iron Range donchaknow!

4 drivers + 4 cars = $3300/year (ACSC/AAA)

Collision & comp. on 3 cars, very good liability coverage on all 4.

Son #2, new driver, age 16, is by far the most expensive to insure.
Son #1 is 21 and gets good student and good driver discounts.
Parents, age 55 with spotless driving records, cost less than $600 each.

1350/6mos. 19, 99 B5 V6, full coverage w/$1000 ded.

I had a few tickets in a short period of time about 2.5 yr ago, plus a year's suspension immediately following said tickets. Rate goes down in Sept!!

Now I just have to continue being good. ;)

$780/yr full coverage. $250 deductable. 31yr male/married. 2002 1.8t. Lex, KY 300K people.

I know these things vary a bit, but I can't imagine living in KY makes that much difference. Sounds like you all need to go shopping.

Edit: add a 2005 Honda Pilot with same coverage and its brings up to 1730/yr.
Trust me, it does. Call up your agent and get a quote for full coverage in say...Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore, etc.. Then give them a zip code in that city. You'd be surprised. I don't think Lexington is a hot spot for car thefts, hit and runs, bullet through your window (happened to my neighbor last year). State Farm isn't wheeling and dealing, they're using a simple formula based on zip code.

My insurance practically doubled moving from the rural suburbs (30 miles south) to center city. Went from about $60/month to $105! All because of the damn zip code. And State Farm is the cheapest. Liberty Mutual matched them, but why give up the good neighbor. Geico and the others were out of the ballpark.

copy and paste ^^^ yo. anyone else paying $4800 a year including good student discounts? (2 tix over two years ago [ about to fall off ] and one at-fault single-car $3400 payout wreck in november 05) i have a $1000 deductible comprehensive

20 yrs old. and yes i've tried brokers and all. i cannot figure it out (besides the obvious of the points on my record) NO one I mean NO one is paying 400 damn dollars a month.:puke:

Hnag in there. It'll get better.

It's hard to figure out why. Like I posted previously, I have 0 points, married, and have been a state farm customer for 15 years, no claims. Hell, I even drove tractor trailer and still have my CDL A, no accidents or points. But I pay $105/month. I've shopped and that's the cheapest. My buddy's wife works for state farm and she says it's all about the zip code, in my case. Nothing more than that. I just don't get it.

I'm paying 840 a year. Of course, I live in Fargo, ND, so that's probably the major component in it being so reasonable...
I'm moving to N. Dakota:lol: Sub $50/month looks possible there, lol. You have any traffic jams? Can I get a couple of acres for a good price? All I need to figure out is how to make a living. I guess not too many mass spectrometers out that way to service? Is pot farming legal out there:thumbup:

How does $Can319 sound for six months? Check out discounts available at Elite or Autograph. I am part of a pilot project with an electronic device on the OBD port that records speed and time of day. You can down load to your computer and send to Ins Co to get a discount. I got 28.5% . I have a 99 GLS and am retired. You get 5% just for participating.

I think I'd ride a bike or moped. No way in hell I'd be shelling out $400 a month for insurance. Hell, most car payments aren't even that much!
