I know this is a crazy post, but my girlfriend is taking the car on a 300+ mile trip tomorrow, and her ps fluid is below the min level on the stick. In fact, its so low that it doesnt even register on the stick at all.

So, does anyone in Arlington, VA or newarby surrounding areas have any fluid that I could buy off them tonight? I dont need much, just enough to get her to an acceptable level.

I'll happily pay cash to anyone who can help me out.

I'll be up until about nidnight or so, so just hit me up, and Ill do whatever it takes.

Thanks a million for listening to my crazy request.

Do you really think they will have the proper type of fluid? I was thinking about just getting the standard hydraulic ps fluid that you can get at the grocery store, but from what I read here, that stuff will kill your seals.

Do you really think AAA will have the right stuff? WOuld be fantastic if they did. :)

I'd help ya out, but I'm about 3000 miles away :D

Just have her go to a VW dealer on the way and get some.... I'm sure someone at the dealer can give her a hand if she isn't comfortable with the easy task.

I paid around $11 for a 12oz container from the local stealer. You won't find it anywhere else and don't use anything but VW G12 PS fluid!

check walmart. here in miami they're open 24 hours. I don't know about arlington.
Wal-Mart most certainly does NOT have the proper PS fluid. The B5 requires either official VW fluid or Pentosin CHF-11S. That means you can only get it from a dealer, mail order, import auto parts specialist, or an indy specializing in VW/Audis.
