Recently I noticed a minor leak on my garage floor. It is oil and smells like CH11 (power steering) but not sure about it.
The pictures are taken from under the car. The red arrows show where the oil coming from and the second picture shows where I could see some oil at the highest point. Also, second picture is where the inner side of the right axle bolts on the transmission side.
From my previous CV boot changes I would say that CV joint grease smells exactly like it and it's coming from that point.

BTW... the inner boot looks fine (or at least I think it is)

well it's a hard area to see, so I agreee maybe take off a wheel to check it out becuase that leak is appearing on your axle. There is no fluid inside that kind of axle. So there for the leak is coming from higher. follow the leak and see where it's coming from. Good be tranny fluid or again a leak coming from a brake line.

That is your [front] diff. Make sure there is no oil dripping from above (VCG leaks from above).

Take the wheel off and check the drain/fill/bleed screw/bolt on the diff to see if it is loose. I think it is a rare size allen head.

Of course, anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Friday afternoon. Can I go home now.
