Firestone scratched rims, need advice. What would they do?

So I paid a crap load for new tires, road hazzard warranties, AND lifetime alignment.

And I look at my wheels and they took of the old tire clips and put some odd looking metal football looking clip, but not on all 4 wheels (odd) I don't know what they were for then and I don't know now (feel free to tell me).

But anyways, there are radial scratch marks just to the inside of the outer rim part (the part that hits the curb should you hit it) of my montreals.

Now aside from a little rash my wheels were perfect. Now they're all scratched up. I have a detailing business reputation to represent and I'm not to happy.

Does anyone know policy or approached Firstonne for something similar? I mean, I'm going to be reasonable about it and probably not ask anything. But it would be nice if they admitted they messed up and hopefully not do it to other cars.

At my local tire shop they had a special plastic cover they they put on top of the tire remover to keep this from happening.

What's up, I paid good money for what I though was going to be (and was) good service.

Any advice would be appreaciated, thanks.

The football looking clip is a weight attached to balance the tire. Its the cheap-ass way of doing it, because you can attach weights to the inside of the wheel, where they're virtually invisible. I'd start with a phonecall/letter the manager of the store, and if you don't get anything within a week, write a letter to their headquarters, carbon copied to the local branch where you got them installed.

Yeah, give the shop a chance to make it good first. Coincidetally, it was a Firstone that dicked up 2 of the BBS rims on my Corrado years back. They bought me new rims no problem once I confronted the Manager and showed what happened. What bothered me the most was that the tire tech that did the job didn't bother telling me he dicked it up. Just a, "Sir, your cars ready." It was so obvious, there was a gouge all the way round the inside of the lip.
