I'm guessing you have a 2000 Passat and you're asking about the Air Conditioning compressor clutch relay. I think it may be relay #384 and it would be located in the relay panel under the dash behind the fuse panel.

What makes you think your relay is bad? SEVERAL things could keep the compressor from cycling in. There are ways to test to see if this relay is bad or not. Do some searches using the search feature at the bottom of this page.

 

i had my shop do a test on the A/C. everything came back good, but the compressor clutch will not kick in. they said it has an electrical problem (LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE ON THIS CAR!!!) so before i decide they start replacing everything else in the car i will try doing the relay, it sounds that it is a common problem so i tought i give a shot if easy enough. by the way my car is a 2002 passat sedan. and the fuse box is located on the side panel of the dash board to the left of the steering wheel. where would the relay be located then.

THANKS , I FOUND THE 384 RELAY, NOW I JUST HAVE TO BUY THE REPLACEMENT, BY THE WAY , NEXT TO IT TO THE RIGHT AND UP THERE IS 20 AMP FUSE THAT WAS BURNT THAT IS THE ONLY FUSE. :wrench::drivingO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT THAT FUSE IS FOR?
