usually the sensor in the plastic reservoir bottle goes bad. change it and mo more light
or you will get lucky and the plug disconnected. look under it.
I had a leak in my 01.5 v6. Needed a new seal near the trans. Wasn't bad pretty cheap to fix like $100 to install. Same thing was happening to me it'd be empty the next day.
edit: Oh wait there's still coolant? Nvm what he said I guess then
You have a leak somewhere. Raise the car, pull the belly pan and look for either a leak or the dried coolant stains. Also remove the engine covers and check under the intake manifold.
Check the carpet under the heat outlets in the footwells.
wait, you have a leak?
thought you just had to put some in to try to get the light off.
is the leak in front or back of the motor? take a pic if you can.
Sorry, Yes i have a leak. Umm It towards the middle going down the oil pan, i cant find if its coming from the hoses, i was thinking water pump but i just had it replaced 40,000 Miles ago.
If the leak is going down the front of the oil pan on a V6, it is usually the water pump or the thermostat housing. Make sure it is not the metal pipes to the oil cooler, I've never seem them leak, but they could if they were hit.
I have this exact same issue on my car. They pressure checked the car and they could never find it.
The problem was that the cap wasn't tight enough. Thus, the coolant was getting out through the top while you are driving on the road when there is more pressure built than what they use to diagnose it at the dealership.
Check top of the reservoir to see if there is visual evidence around top of the reservoir.
