The 6.5l isnt that bad of an engine, just had their own issues just like all other diesel trucks.
I still want one of these, except a 4 door so i can bag it and make a toy hauler out of it.

195 hp @ 3,400 rpm / 525 lb·ft @ 1,800 rpm (turbocharged) according to wiki

 

You could compound turbo that and really have a fun toy.

 

nope engine isnt strong enough to handle a lot of boost and cost way way too much money to build the engine, only mod will be an exhaust eventually and fix the radio with some nice new speakers and headunit, other than that new tires eventually cause the current ones are 12 years old and pretty dry rotted but have tons of tread.

 

Needs moar red accents. In all seriousness, I'm,sure that will be a good work horse, and with only 105k miles, it's barely even been broken in. :thumbup:

 

diesels last! father in law has a cunnings diesel with over 250k miles on it, runs like a champ.
i dont like driving it because its super lifted and the gas/brakes feel weird. but the engine is solid as a rock.
transmission was replaced at 220k and the thing was barely maintained lol.

 

Cummins. . What? My 1.8t is a champ at 225k.

 

you sir, keep us having faith and hopes that ours will make it past the 200k mark.
mine is not even at 100k and its been a total money pit.and i have a feeling a engine rebuild is coming soon.

 

The gasoline versions of that truck will go 300,000- mine did. With a diesel and carefully protected cab corners and rear fenders, that thing will outlive us all! Great find!

 

4WD? If not, you get that thing stuck in winter and it's not coming out till Spring.
