i just ordered a belly pan for my 99 wagon, 80 bucks:banghead: :banghead: ,

the mechanic says it would be $50 to get it insalled, or "just wait until you get your next oil change and we'll do it for free".

just got oil change about month and a half ago won't be getting one for a while, is $50 a lot for belly pan install? I don't have the resources to DIY.

Resources to DIY, include a flat head screw driver. I've had problems with mine before and i've taken it off and put it on, on the side of the road and in parking lots with nothing more than a key or quarter. I would suggest not waiting, i've had to replace both splash sheilds because i drove around for a month without mine, that just added another 70$ to the mix. Theres nothing to it, literally 9 "1/4 turn" style screws. as Dutch-mountains stated theres 3 silver screws and 2 black screws, but there is also 2 screws per splash shield. So 9 screws in all.

The w8 pan will fit even though you have a b5 most everyone runs them because they are cheaper and sturdier.
