Is this what you are referring too?
If so, no. The brake fluid reservoirs are different. The B5 brake fluid reservoir is round. The B5.5 is more of a rectangle shape.

I'm assuming it's not the rain tray cover but the actual piece at the bottom of the windshield that the wiper shaft's go through?

 

My buddy has that cover on his 2002 1.8T. It's not on my 99 V6. Why would you want it? Does it keep debris out better, and keep stuff out of the infamous drain holes?

There is a pic in the 2nd link I posted. Many pics died with PB. I remember all of the shaved engine bays and people who put the abs and coolant tank under the cover after moving the battery to the trunk. Something I had always dreamed of, but will probably never do.

 

Yep, looking at using the one AdreasPassat posted onto my car. The two different models use a different strip that glues in with the windshield at the bottom. The B5.5 is a much better design, for keeping leaves and water out. As time goes by, the B5 panel doesn't stay pressed down on it's track, which is why they changed the design. I'll do some more research, but hadn't found any hits on Google either. Thank you for everyone's input!
