How do you make the acceleration better?

Spoilers, Bolt on Exhaust Tips, Spinning Rims, all have been statistically proven to increase power.

Just kidding. Is it chipped? Have you added a bigger turbo? bigger exhaust? tried giving it more gas? What have you done so far?

haha i know, that coffee can exhaust is suppose to add like 300 horses easily. i havent done anything at all to my car at all. i have 2000 1.8t passat and i was just looking for a basic answer on how to boost the acceleration besides pushing the gas down more haha.

The best I have found to have a NOTICEABLE acceleration increase is of course modify intake and exhaust thats one and the other that I haven't been fortunate enough to complete yet is to relocate the DV from the hot side to the cold side ( close to TB)

I "fourth" the advice offered by Newman, Scotts and Polishpassat.

A chip will make an unmistakable improvement in performance/acceleration.

Along with a chip, the standard associated modifications are...

Upgraded Diverter Valve to handle the increased boost pressures.
Vac-Boost gauge so you can monitor turbo performance.
High flow exhaust system.

The next level up would be to go to a larger turbo. This requires a longer and more expensive list of supporting modifications.

It sounds like you've had the car for awhile. Are you sure it's performing up to par in it's current form? Sometimes performance goes away so gradually that you don't really notice it. My Passat accelerated well enough to satisfy, well, maybe not a power-crazed 19 year old. Or anyone that's planted the pedal on a 2.0L TFSI... ;)
