Oil pan removal woes!

Ok so, I've been trying to take off the oil pan since last night. I removed 21 bolts/screws from the oil pan, 13 of which I believe is the count were hex head screws. It's still not budging!

Is part of the engine mount bracket attached to the oil pan? I can't see any other screws that are attached now and I'm getting quite frustrated.....

Also forgot to mention I lifted the engine up from the top side. I barely had enough room to remove the rear bolts but I got them. I really don't see how there could be anymore screws anywhere. I guess I'll loosen up the front of the sub-frame and see if I can get a better look.

There are a total of 16 allen screws on an AEB and ATW engine, and 18 on an AUG.

What I had to do for my AEB:

*12 allen bolts were really obvious
*2 allen bolts were hidden under flanges on the left and right side
*2 allen bolts had to be accessed through the holes in the flywheel all the way in the back
*4 bolts holding the pan to the bell housing
*4 bolts (non-allen) providing additional support to the pan.

That's your checklist if you have an AEB or ATW.

Also, what helped me is finding a photo of the oil pan and the gasket on ECS. That made it clear where the screws and bolts are supposed to go.

Yeah I have the gasket...guess it would make sense to look at it lol. I didn't know there were any behind the fly wheel though.

Maybe I should just remove the engine. I have most of the stuff up top removed already, it's on my lift as well. It's a TIP, so do I just need to loosen up the tranny mounts/shifter linkage and drop the axels and the engine should come out? or do I still need to drop the sub frame and what not?

if the front end is off, pull the trans mounts, axles, the shift linkage, and i'm assuming you pulled the exhaust already. no need to touch the subframe to pull the motor. however if you need to pull the oil pan and not the whole engine, you do need to at leat drop the front end of the subframe and loosen the back end of it. and yes, there are two allen head bolts behing the flywheel, and the lower three or four bolts hoding the block to the engine go through the oil pan and need to be removed.

Didn't i tell you before just to pull the whole thing together?
