Long story short(ish). I got my new springs and had ordered my shocks to go with the lowering. So today I was running late on time and went to my indy to get my oil changed and have them look for an oil leak that i "thought" i had.
Turns out, I did have one and they found it. Sadly what they said was the cam tensioner seal. They quoted me 3.5 hours book labor. For parts and labor the total comes to 340$ plus tax. That includes the tensioner gasket and the valve cover gasket. They also said I could let it go untill i get my timing belt done in about 10k, but just watch my oil level to see if it gets worse.
So my question is, lets day the leak does get worse. Right now i'm loosing about 1-1.25q every 5k miles. Should I just watch the oil and just change it when I get my T-belt done or bite the bullet and do it now. How long should it take to replace this seal. The only write-up I found was for a V6, but not for a 1.8.
And they also found that one of my stock shocks was starting to leak. Guess I have good timing on placing my order for new shocks.
