Let's talk door sills

My GLX looks naked without good door sills. I was planning on getting the Kamei brushed aluminum ones until I saw a friend's W8 and noticed it had OEM ones. Anyone ever buy these or know how much they would cost? I left a message with my parts guy already. Any other suggestions, and no I don't want LED ones. Thanks.

I'm not a fan of CF and it would only look good if there were CF accents elsewhere I would think.

I used the black oem vw stick on ones for the mk IV jetta,thats all i needed to keep from getting scuffs/scratches ,not too obtrusive and does the job

I have the Kamei door sills, they are brushed SS btw. I already had some paint scratches on the sills when I bought the Passat so I had to cover that up.

if you think the carbon fiber sills would look good with inserts, then get a carbon fiber dash kit! let the modding begin! lol, j/k your taste is your taste. i like the inscription TENZO! i think i'm going to get the black carbon fiber.

Where did you get yours from Paul? Mine are starting to show some scuff marks and im thinking some nice silver sills would compliment the rest of the interior nicely

Well, I got pricing on silver and black OEM W8 door sills:
Front = $53 CDN each
Rear = $53 CDN each
Total = $212 CDN

www.pgperformance.com has the Kamei set for $110 CDN so I guess that's what I will be getting. The W8 ones would have been nice though.

I can get you a set for $75 shipped to Canada with PASSAT logo or any logo you want... Or just plain, stainless steel sills. PM me if you are interested...

a random thought that came in my mind....are these going to affect in any way the way the door closes...ie leaving a gap and more windnoise in the car or water entering? thanks

it won't affect anything. that's not where the door seals to the body.
