I personally think angel eyes are outdated like really really LARGE wings on trunks of spoilers. But to each their own. The silver ones look a bit better than the black housings. The black housing will show off how square your corners are.

 

I think the black housing angels look pretty good on a silver B5. :thumbup:

Yes of course,
I love my passat,but its no BMW,nor would i want to add BMW designs to it.
They look great on e39's because they were designed to compliment the headlight shape,and as an oe product,they look superb.
With the passat,its far better to fit bi-xenons (or buy already fitted) and have that stealth (top of the range) look,instead of the badly played pimp my passat look.
How to make your car look like cheap tat in one easy step = fit angel eyes (and this formula works on all makes of car,not just the passat).
If you want to double the 'cheese effect' simply add lexus rear lights too.

My bad....I posted a pic of my HLs and they are not angel eye.

I know you were asking about the look of angel eye HLs on a silver B5.

 

Well, if you think the angel lights are outdated, what do you recomend? I looked into the Hella HID's but didn't like the fact that they would not function properly without more mods, and paying $1000 for something thats not going to work like OEM does not make sense to me. And I definitely don't want to be stuck with the originals. I bought the clear corners and it looks better but it makes my headlights seem old and dull, so I want an upgrade and the headlights that match the clear corners have that cheap look to them. So if you have any suggestions please run them by me.
