vw spoiler with integrated brake light question.

hey all
friend just installed new spoiler. notice that when u signal to turn left the light in the spoiler flashes when u brake, but not when u signal to go right.
is this normal? or did they mess up the wiring?

nope. it's only supposed to come on when you hit the brakes.
