OK, I was able to install the pads with no problem on the rears but did anyone have a problem installing them in the front? :???:

The only holes I found to install them in the front were on a slight angle and I tried to install them there but they fell out. I might be using the wrong hole (put joke here  ) but I didn't see any other ones.

Can anyone help me out? :weirdo:

And more specifically, what are the benefits?

I installed these jackpads, neat idea but I think a hockey puck on top of the jack will serve the same purpose (if not better).
The pads actually help with quickly locating the jack points - saves a few milliseconds. Oh I get it, "hockey puck" - Canadian - ha, ha ...

Yeah you know hockey sticks and pucks aren't mandatory gear down here - you never hear of anyone that's itching to bust out in a hockey match that often. Usually when we do though, we just cut through the formality of sticks and pucks and get right down to punching each other - we just call it fighting and we don't require ice. :)

yeah, you guys are right. The fronts are a PITA!
I couldn't get them in.

Now the 2 pieces are one and its harder to get them in.
Can they be separated?? Does anyone know

Same thing happened to me on my instal. I did get the pads in both ways - with the 2 pieces together and seperately.

Here's what worked for me if you want to seperate the pieces - soak the assembly in hot/very warm (exercise CAUTION of course) soapy water. After a couple of minutes of submersion, the "rubber" pad should soften and be pliable enough for you to remove the spreader piece by prying open the end of the rubber piece where the groove is with a largish screw driver and levering the spreader piece out gently.

Yes the front instal is a PITA. Be patient and use lots and lots of warm soapy water (or better yet liquid detergent "neat").

Hope this helps ... PM me if you have detailed questions.

I installed the fronts using a 1 1/8 socket turned upside down (flat side inserted into the rubber piece) and jacked them in using a floor jack. I put some soap on the part that inserted. It went in easily with the socket applying even pressure on the inside of the piece. Hope this helps.

Jack pads

Just put mine in a couple of weeks ago. I too needed to pad up my
floor jack(used a rock). I like the big socket idea
I love the rears. The fronts are kinda recessed and real close to the
break lines. Let's be careful in there!
