Snow tires + stick shift = great control in the white stuff

Wooooohoooooo!!!!!! The D is getting dumped on! I am in snow heaven.

Stick plus the Semperit Sport Grips in the 2" of sticking snow on the interstate was fantastic. Best control I have ever had of the car. Side roads were at about 3-4", no problems. I got home and plowed through 6-8" in the driveway, which I then used my nifty little snowblower to clear out so Steven could go to work.

Although these tires are admittedly not Blizzaks on ice, they sure as hell are fantastic in the snow. No runaway rear end when going over drifts or anything. I am pleased with my tires. :)

I've gotta say, the only complaint I've had thus far with the Semperits is...
they're pretty stiff at -10°F. :p

I  driving my car in the snow with these tires, too!

My snow tires are Dunlop Wintersport M2's. This weather definately helps me feel that my tires & car are FAR superior than others running on all-season tires.
(And that is a result of the tires, not because I'm driving a 'better-than-stock' B5! )

I almost want the snow season to last forever, ... good thing I have Summer tires, or I might be disappointed when the warm weather returns!

EEEKKKKKKK!!

I took the Golf out yesterday. I hope it is a long time before I have to drive an automatic with A/S tires in the snow again. The car was so tail-happy around corners, you would have thought it was rear wheels drive.
