Removing Wood Trim??

I am trying to get creative with a way to change the look of my interior using the wood trim pieces that are currently in the car. Does anyone have a good way of removing the wood trim pieces without breaking them? I have heard of using a blow dryer to heat up the glue and peeling it off but I'm not sure about that either.

Does anyone have a good way of removing these pieces? I would appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks :D

Do you mean remove the wood trim from the car altogether, or remove the wood-looking-plastic from the clips that snap into the car?

To move the wood trim from the door handles, it takes a lot of gentle prying to pop them loose. To remove the dash assembly, you need to remove the stereo head unit, then remove the climate control bezel, then remove four screws from the main trim.

To 'delaminate' the wood, this probably is infeasible. The main trim around the radio was metal on my car, so the 'wood' is actually just painted on. The same process is used on the other pieces, even though they are plastic.

Yeah, it was a pain taking those pieces off. Even pulling them off. That wanna be wood trim is stuck like metal. I just wanted plain black so everything looks nice and clean. In the end I ended up buying new pieces to replace all the scratched up stuff.
