Sure they are. You just have to change the rest of the front at the same time. Fenders, hood, headlights, grille...

 

Do some searches. It's been done a few times. I've heard it called the "B5.25" because it incorporates parts of both.

 

but why would you go retro? Do you like the individual light look better? I do agree that some aftermarket valences look better, especially the winglets.

 

the main reason i want the b5.5 bumper is because it houses foglights that are low in the bumper (Where they belong) the only "foglight" i have is a LED in my aftermarket headlight housing. my dealership got a b5.5 as a trade in and i did the used car check on it. all the bolt holes appear to be the same as mine. i noticed a different arch in the b5.5 headlights on the back of the light but the bumper cover itself appears to be able to bolt up. was just wondering if anyone had done this to theirs i think it would look pretty cool.

 

Ah. In that case, you'd be better off installing one of the Chinese fog light kits from eBay. They don't really fit all that well, and the light pattern (like the real B5.5 fogs) isn't terribly useful, but it's infinitely less trouble than swapping the entire front of your car - which I assure you, you'd find you have to do.

 

FYI, I believe those fog light housings block off significant air flow to the IC.

 

no worries about intercooler i have the V6. did they make different lower grille pieces that maybe house an OEM equivilant foglight assembly?

 

I have to disagree, the B5 look with the fogs built into the headlight housing is visually more appealing and works great. either way, the pain and time it would take to convert it is just too bothersome for a pair of fog lights lol.

 

I cant utilize the "foglights" my car came with because i have aftermarket lights. Thats why i want fogs in the lower grille
