The way these valves work is just that they were actually not as good as our N75. They are slower reacting valves which is why you get more boost spike and more boost on the highend. They aren't able to controll boost as well so you get a couple more psi.

Well Chas forget my offer and a good friend of mine at the dealer told me they were B.O. from germany. Sorry but she'll keep me posted on delivery dates.

That's the same story I have been hearing too. "Indefinant Back Order." But the folks I talked to say that they will come available again sometime. Hmmmm... That's OK, I can wait. I really should be spending the money right now anyway. Freaking Tax man!

I ordered mine online a few weeks ago through some site that was provided to me by someone here. I think it was something like carparts.com but it basically forwarded me to a VW/Audi dealership in Georgia. I placed my order online and paid $58. They called me back saying that the "H" valve was ordered but it on national backorder. I just got another call saying that they received it yesterday and that it was mailed to me this morning. Check again today to see if your local dealer still has it listed as being on backorder. May have changed recently.

Chas,

I ordered mine ( "H" valve) last week from Boston VW and it came in this week. It cost me $58.00.

If you want, call Boston VW parts (617) 783-1300 and ask for parts.

Otherwise, you can call Dana VW parts (phone # can be found over at www.b5one.com ) and request the B5One discount, or Check with Liberty....in fact, Tim should be able to give you the lowdown on availability. 8)

got me all confused here, I understand we should be getting the H version of this part?
I have a 2002 what do I have? Im not complaining about the cars performance with the Wett chip and all but if this improves driveability by another 50% then i might try this.

FYI. I have zero problems with my chipped car so far.

You have a "stock" N75. You're never gonna get a 50% improvement over your 1.0 bar Wett chip from this mod...but, if it works, it should give you a little extra pull.

I have the Wett chip too and don't know of anybody that's tested it with a Wett chip.

Some people have posted that you get large gains with an APR chip and No gains with a Garrett...but I question this....My tuner who is a tech at Boston VW has a Garrett chip and swears by this mod....although he's running a transverse 1.8T (Jetta).

I called Kelly at Wetterauer to ask whether they had any issues with me running the N75 H valve with their chip. She said she felt it would be fine and would not hinder the chip/ecu performance and asked that I let her know how it works out.

For all the above reasons... i want to find out for myself. (Just wish I had a boost guage!)

Since my setup is similar to yours, Nat...you can use me as a guinea pig before you buy if you want.

I think the stock one for AWM & AWT engine is "C" version.

is # 36 on the diagram what we are trying to replace?..
part# for #36 is: 058 906 283 C .
I'm interested in the feedback as well for use on the Wett chip.

This N75 valve had been talk about alot, but most people just went back to the stock valves. For some reason, some people were very happy, and some hated the ECS N75 valve.

This will definately be interesting.

TT roadster use same valve as passat.

i have a 99 GLS 5-speed manual w/APR chip. i also have the Race N75 from ECS Tuning.

i have no complaints. per butt dyno, the car pulls stronger and longer, and the power comes more smoothly than before.

But you have a '03 right? I wouldnt mind you as the guinea pig but if this mod is cheap I might try it myself. Will keep an eye out on here. I have heard about this mod going into the Jettas and Golfs but not too much on the Passats

Tyrano, I just called your guys out there in Boston and asked about the H valve, the guy quoted me $85.47 for the part number that is floating around on this thread. Any clues?

I did a write up/install a few months back.

here you go, just found it-

EDIT
****ignore that link. for some reason I can't post the url. just do a search for n75 and b5bel as the author. you'll get it****

Errrrr... that was really very freaky. It took me to an MSN, Hotmail site with this CB5 page on it. Odd... :???:

Chas...you have IM.

Everyone else, I'd check with Tim at Liberty vw...he mentioned he's trying to get ahold of some and he always gets his homeys a good deal!

By the way, i have an Upsolute 1.1 bar ~15psi equiv.
aaauuuummm thats a 16psi chip.( 1bar is 14.5 psi and every .1 is = to 1.5 psi so.....) dam 1.1 with that valve might be like 18-20 psi. :nervous: anyone of you chiped fools  have a 5bar fpr yet

A way to really see how this "snake oil" type product really works woudl be to data log acutall boost vs. requested boost on the stock N75 and then do it again with the race valve. The actual boost should be higher with the race valve than the actual boost was with the stock valve. Hmmm, I might have to do this myself :weirdo: sounds fun 8)
