No window control, interior lighting, or key fob response

I recently bought a 2003 Vw Passat with the 1.8. It is a wagon. I was changing out the Flood light bulb in the driver side door when I accidentally bridged the positive lead to the negative on the plug with a screw driver. I immediately heard a pop from the fuse panel in the dash. Went to the store and replaced any fuses I could find that popped, only the cigarette outlet fuse was broken. Since this incident the other day, non of the following functions work. The car no longer responds to the key Fob at all, my drivers side high-beam went out, non of the window buttons work, nor gas and trunk buttons (or sunroof). Pretty much everything on the drivers door card does not respond. No overhead interior lighting (Front/Center/Rear). And my turn-signals didn’t work for a while but my hazards did?? They ended up coming back. I am a pretty familiarized mechanic with these cars, most of what I am reading on here is pointing toward the comfort control module being exposed to the elements. But I’d really like a second opinion, maybe someone has had this issue before? I know it’s a long read but any help I can get is very appreciated.
thanks!

Check fuse #14.
I would scan the CCM module with VAG compatible software to see what error messages come up.
And I guess as an investigative measure, pull the carpet back (drivers side front) to see if there's evidence of water ingress.
