Hi there,

Im Mike from Manchester, England. Ive had my 2007 B6 just over a week and im loving it. I part ex'd my Audi A3 Sline for the Dub. The Passat is a PD170 Sport DSG Saloon.

My questions are regarding the interior lights. It appears that the previous owner has upgraded SOME of the interior bulbs to xenon type ones (LED?), yet some are the OEM ones, and some dont work full stop. Im wanting to change all interior bulbs to the bright white xenon type ones and they look the best to me. Is there a guide on how to do this and a bulb fitment guide anywhere?

Also, what width and offset wheels can you get away with using on the B6?

Thanks!

Hi Mike, and welcome to PW!
We def. need some pics of your car!
About the bulbs, there are several suppliers of the bright white LED. All of the interior bulbs is possible to change into LED, also the puddle lights. If you have those. The licenseplate bulbs needs a dummy-load or LEDs that are designed for the canbus cars. For instance the Zeta from ECStuning.
Just remember to buy LEDs that give light sideways since several bulbs are mounted this way.
Enjoy your car! I`ve had mine TDI for 3 years now, and is still in love with it:)

About the wheels, I`ll leave that to any familiar with the English laws, I guess the Norwegian laws are different.

Congrats on the new car! What are the specs on the TDI (HP/TQ/MPG)? We don't get the TDI option over here in the states.

As far as wheels go, 19x8.5" is the typical largest size that most people go with - you can go wider in the rear if you want to run a "staggered" setup. Some people run 20" diameter but it's rare and I think that is too large for the B6 aesthetically. You'll also want a drop if you go that large (18"+).

Stock largest size is 18x8", like the Samarkand, Sirocco/Interlagos, etc. Google those names for tons of pictures.

Post more pictures when you can!
