New AC compressor causing 'Hesitancy / Stalling' in VW Passat ?

-Installed a New OEM Compressor in my 07 B6 Passat.

Worked fine for a few weeks, then car had hesitancy issues. Codes came back as 00022 "Camshaft and Crankshaft Position Sensors Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A"

I then changed 4 parts;
  • Camshaft position actuator,
  • Camshaft Sensor,
  • Camshaft Follower
  • and Crankshaft Sensor.
NO LUCK; The car still hesitates, spits and sputters UNTIL i turn the AC compressor off...then it takes off like a bat out hell.

Upon inspection, the new compressor is leaking oil. I read it was normal to loose some oil from AC --- ?

What's going on with my Car... why is it hesitating when AC is on ?

None of the possible fixes involve replacing sensors. That code means that the ECU is comparing the readings from those two sensors and they are off.

I would imagine the extra load the compressor is putting on the engine when the pressure control valve is active could allow those codes to surface, but not the cause of the codes, per se. Meaning, it was exacerbated by the compressor being active.
You da Man VAG ...thanks!

NOTE; the car was running fine. I changed the compressor because it was the original and was getting weak (hardly produced any cold air).----- ALSO, Not sure what the pressure control valve is (i'll check into that).

OTHER codes i'm getting are 'Turbo Related'. NOW i'm thinkin its the Turbo causing the ABOVE issue. I don't look forward to replacing the Turbo (and have avoided this problem).

MIND YOU, when I accelerate the car 'spits and sputters' ---- and then takes off after a few seconds of peddle on the floor.

:cry:
