open hood, find battery, look at all the water that is below it.

Next remove battery, find the drain hole below the battery and brake booster and pull the rubber drain grommet out. oh and clean up all the leaves and other crap that is in there as well.

and last very important, vacuum the carpet with a wet/dry vac and make sure to get underneath the carpet as well there is a control module below it called the CCM, this controls everything in the car once this gets wet it starts to corrode and then the car will feel possessed cause it pretty much does what it wants and acts very funny.

it is NOT the heater core. if it is the rear floor board, it could be one of three things - either the sunroof drain is clogged, the drains below the battery and master hydraulic cylinder are clogged, or you have a door seal problem.

I vote one of the first two, as they are more common; start with what vwb5t suggested above.

My floor carpet under my rubber matt got wet with all the recent snow and getting in and out of the car.

Well the carpet was damp, not wet...but starting to smell like wet dog. I hate that smell and having a devil of a time trying to dry it out and remove the smell. I've been running the floor heat max w/o the rubber matt as much as possible and spraying febreeze every day.

I park in an underground parkade so its not simple to run a heater in there to dry it out.

Any advice?

thx
