Metallic rattle from front end

When I travel over rough roads at a low speed I hear a faint metallic rattle. It is coming from the front drivers side wheel. I recently did some brake work but I am pretty sure I put everything back together right. At first I thought it was just a loose wheel well liner but while driving with the window open today I noticed a more metallic sound. I plan to take the wheel off this weekend and poke around, anything I should keep my eye out for?

Does it rattle with the brakes applied? A lot of time the pads will come loose and rattle in the carrier. Try running over the same patch a couple times, with brakes applied and without. Considering you just did a brake job it's a possibility. If it doesn't rattle with brakes applied, most likely the pads.

I did a brake job, thought I did 100% correct and still had this issue.

x2, mine rattle on both sides. I can take a hammer and hit the face of the tire tread and hear the pads rattle.

IIRC Johnnycanuck had a metallic rattling and it turned out to be aloose pulley bolts. But his is a V6......
