Ok my wife is the actual owner of the car but being the car buff of the family it's my place to do the research here even though I drive an Elantra.

Now I used to own a B5 and was considering back then a manual boost controller from Dawes Devices.

Since I've started modding my Elantra she's been wanting a chip to improve the already great 200hp 2.0t in her '06. We don't have the money to do something like this to her car (especially since it's a lease) so I've been wondering about a MBC more and more lately.

I remember they were relatively simple to hook up on the older gens but how about on the B6? Has anyone done this yet? I don't even know how the engine is laid out in her car (if anyone has pics I'd love to see them).

Can this be accomplished safely with all of the electronics that are in this car? I'm only looking to add a few pounds of boost just to give her a little more noticable power...you know something to keep me off my back. Not looking for 300whp or something nuts like that.

So opinions anyone? Suggestions?

If your B6 is a lease, DO NOT mod it without the express, written permission of the leasing company (which is usually not your dealer), no matter how "cool" the mods seem to be. Remember: you don't own the car, you are merely "renting" it.

whats wrong with "Renting" ?

We rented a Caddilac CTS down in south carolina... Then we ripped off the intake so it sounds better... And then we would fill up with supreme and put 3 bottles of octane boost

Was fun, and nobody complained... :biglaugh:
