For a couple weeks I've started to notice a chirp/ticking when the car is cold and I accelerate. The chirp seem to increase with the amount of acceleration. After a mile or so it goes away and I don't seem to lose any power. Idles fine and throttling in idle doesn't produce sound. Now at highway speeds I've also notice a couple times an odd hesitation when not accelerating. The first couple times it was so small I thought maybe it was just a big joint in the road... now there's definitely something up.
The Car: '99.5 AEB, Wett chipped (1 bar) since 7,000 now 95,000 miles. Last year put in the Bailey DV, silicon hoses, new timing belt 1.5 yrs ago. Replacing the DV and hoses is about my mechanical comfort zone
Need to also add to the ABS Module posts since mine's gone at 93,000.
Anyone know a good mechanic in Indianapolis? (I love my VW, I love my VW....keep saying it...:nervous: )
