You are not going to get much for $300, unless you purchase used equipment.

You could try a used Inifinity BassLink or powered Bazooka if you want to save money. These are combination sub and amp.

I spent ~$450 for a 10" Alpine Type R sub, an Alpine amp, Q-Logic sealed box, and a wiring kit. I bought from Crutchfield, so the price is a bit higher than some other places.

I got a 10" Sony sub and a 2ch 1200W Sony amp for about $160. It's not in the class with the Type R stuff, but it works for me. The box was a custom-built jobber and the wiring kit ran $45 or so.

 

yes, keep in mind, Traub's stealth box was around 200. that's a minimum of $400, give or take.

no, not reallly, i have listened to other ppls systems and know that 4 12" was too much and that 1 12" wasnt enough. but i am pretty sure that i will like them. i told the ppl at best buy what kinda music i listen to and what i want and they said that these would work.

becaue best buy rips you off. I should know, I used to work at a very similar big store, and my roomie worked at best buy at the same time.

 

well i dont know, i feel a little bit more comfortable with professional instillation and good warranties.

 

not to mention they don't train their staff for shit and they carry low end everything. and their installation is a FAR cry from professional. if you really want to spend the extra cash and deal with a B&M look for small specialist rather than a chain. in Florida there's TONS of good shops.

 

well i went and got my subs put in today. and they sound GREAT. i love it. anyways, thought i would let yall know.

i got 2 12" pioneer 800 watts with 800 watt pioneer amp, i like it pretty well.
