My passanger side front door lower molding and rocker molding were damaged. I ordered new moldings from Drew (THANKS), but wasn't sure on the install. Do the existing moldings just pop off? And then I assume the new moldings just "pop -on"? There look to be a couple screws in each wheel well. Any special fasteners that might be required? It seems like it won't be a big deal, but I though I would get any inside scoop before I started. New moldings should be here next week.

Thanks - John

Un-do the screws at the bottom and in the fenders. Remove the little piece that is near the rear tire first. Then there is a long, skinny, flimsy, strip that extends other both doors at the top of the moldings. Pull and peel away this long strip (snaps in and out). Then you will see a bunch of screws, un-do those. Finally, the side moldings snap out, but be careful, the snaps could break off.

When it comes to the door molding, there are screws inside the door that need to be un-done. Then the door molding snaps out.

Piece of Cake! Took maybe 30 minutes at a very relaxed pace. The rocker is basically screwed on, only one press in fitting. You remove a screw cover that runs the lenght of the rocker (inside the doors). Then just unscrew everything. Pop the plastic clip near the front and slide it out of the rear molding piece. The new piece slides inside the rear molding (in front of rear wheel well). Clips in front and attaches with screws. Reattach screw cover and you are done. The door molding has plastic clips and screws, but also a piece of cake. Congrats to the German engineers, quality easy to install piece at a reasonable price. The body shop wanted about $250 to replace the two moldings, I put the saved $175 toward my new wheels.
