Wow, I've never felt like such a newb but my passat is definately pwning me big time. I hit the load button and it will load CD 1, however, how the heck do you load more than 1 CD? I've tried everything! I've held the load button and the # CD I want to load, I've held just the # CD.......help....

Thanks in advance!

Hey there, when you are loading a disc it would depend on the type, such as: center console disc will load slow to make certain they are packed in correctly. Press load and insert disc, once in press load again and it will ask for # you will press whatever # you want the disc in and have the disc on the sleeve. If it is for the rear disc changers you will open the canopy by pressing or sliding the sleeve and the disc holder will automatically pop out for you to physically load yourself. hope this helps.

I have a 2001.5 Passat GLX 4motion fully loaded. It has a dash 6-CD changer. I just went outside to try what you said and I realzied there is no "load" button lol

The only buttons that appear to pertain to the CD changer is "select", "eject", "CD", and the #'s 1-6.

When there are no disc's in the system, it will load the first disc without pressing any buttons and it will load it into slot 1. However, I still have no idea how to load any other CD slots.

Thanks!!!

I'm assuming that is what gets put in the black metal bracket thing that hangs at the top right of the trunk? Is there a way to pull down the seat or something to access the front of that black metal bracket?

Thanks btw, I can stop trying with the dash lol

If you have a changer, and it's not in the center console it'll be behind the door on the drivers side of the trunk. That black box under the rear deck is your Monsoon amp, nothing more.

What makes you think you have a changer? Most Passats didn't.

the monsoon amp goes there.
there is a cable in the pop down door on the drivers side for the cd changer hookup.
look through the mobile electronics forum or search and you can find a lot more info & pic's.

My Passat Wagon has a changer. The amp is actually mounted above it. You open the little compartment and the changer is right there. The ignition has to be in the "on" position for the changer to eject the cartridge. After the cartridge is ejected, you simply slide the CD into the slot, make sure it is label up. There will be an arrow on the top of the cartridge so you know which way is up. Then you slide the cartridge back in , close the little door, put everything back together, press the CD button on the dash unit and you are good to go.

I only know of, the Amp is mounted Passenger Side in the Trunk.
It is hanging from the top in a metal cage.
Any CD Changer was mounted to the Driver Side Trunk, either inside the Door of the Driver Side Trunk Fender or the Driver Side Floor in the Trunk.

If you have a Changer, post pictures, please!
