:) Hi !

I'm into changing both my seatwarmer elements in the front seats.
But I'm a bit unsure how to do it !

Is there a "How To Do It" somewere here on PassatWorld ??

..or can someone explain how to do it.

Pictures would be priceless !

The pdf link is for the case of adding seat heaters to seats that don't have them to start with and the kit includes the dash control switches and other wiring. I'd guess the same stick-on heating elements could be installed in seats that came with the elements embedded in the seat upholstery and just disconnect the original heating elements wiring and re-connect to the new. Wiring and current draw may be different though.

My favorite part:

Once the sides and front are free, pull up on the cushion. No, it's not glued down. Your fat ass has been pushing down on it for so long, it stuck to the base
Oh by the way, there is a box at the top of each page that says "Google Custom Search" - I put in HEATED SEAT REPAIR and this ^^ was like #2 result, just FYI.

And the elements might not heat properly - or may over-heat - if stuck to the bottom of existing elements.
The warmer element is part of the upholstery cover, not a separate part. I doubt if there's any way to remove it, or any way to get a new element separately.

All quoted above is wrong.
If you do not KNOW the answer why would you GUESS?

One interesting fact is the cloth and leather seats use different elements and switches (different P/Ns) so be sure to get the correct one.

Peace out

I talked to the VW dealer parts counter guy,
and he told me that the warmer elements for the cloth seats are simple to change since they not are a part of the upholstery/cloth.
But the leather seats are a PITA since the warmer element is an integrated part of the leather cover !

Luckily for me I have the sportseats with cloth ! :)
