I've never had to pull coil packs, is there anything really difficult about it? Also are they picky about torque specs?

Thanks all.

How hard is it to scratch your butt? Really, that easy. If you are a first timer at plugs in aluminum heads, get a torque wrench to ensure you are tightening it enough/or not too much. IIRC it was 22ftlbs.

B5.5 should just have the pull out(no bolts) kind. Just pull up gently, with a little force. They should should pop right out. Take it easy and just do one plug at a time.

if you are stock and only feel the need to change every 30-40K, get the PFR6Q. Coppers would be BKR6E if you want to change ~15K miles. NGK only

x2! These 1.8T motors are pretty picky about plugs. I've had PFR6Q for almost 2 changes (I'm close to 110k) with no issues. Also be sure to disconnect the coil pack harness before pulling it out. Be careful not to break the plastic tabs while you are disconnecting the coil packs. I usually only pull one plug/coil pack at a time, but others may pull all of them at the same time.

FYI this was stupid simple, thanks all. I'm already getting about 3 MPG bump and better response offline.
Only thing is I can't figure out how to reclip the plastic clips.
The connectors seem fine and snug, not going anywhere, and cyl 1 clip has been long gone, no harm done.
The other three just kind of float in there without 'catching'.
