Having trouble finding places to do alignment after lowering

I got Intrax springs and Koni adjustables put in two weeks ago.... and for Boston/New England driving, it is wayyy too low. Its like a 3 inch drop.... And I tried getting an alignment at like 9 different places, and none of them say they can't do it because the car is too low.... my front passenger side is lower and the alignment is off on that side, and the tread on the inside part of that tire is wearing away FAST....

so I've decided to get Eibach Pro-kits to be put in this Friday... anyone try running this combo? How does it feel, run? How low is it?

and my main question here is.... will I have much trouble finding a place to do an alignment with the Pro-Kits? Any suggestions in the Boston/Framingham area?

Either an Audi or possibly a VW dealer could align the car
as it is. With a 3" drop there will be wear.
The Eibachs will give a 1.5-1.75" drop. You should not have
a problem finding a place that would align it then.

I've had the KONI/EIBACH setup for over a year now on my 2002. I had it installed at Hogan tire in Beverly MA. I recently had everything realigned at Hogan tire in Woburn. My left front was off .5 ... I guess I hit one to many potholes this past winter..... They gave me the alignment printout and explained it to me.

I think the Eibach drop is 1.25 don't hold me to that. The ride is definetly rougher than stock but nothing you won't be able to deal with. I drive my car from Boston to Burlington everyday. You really can feel the suspension working when you get it out on 128 or the pike. Car handles like a dream when you start to approach 100mph+.

What size rims do you have..... I have 17's and they handle great... Your only looking for bent rims if you go any higher than 17's around Boston.

Whats even funnier is the dealer told me they couldn't get my car onto the lift when I brought it in for the 20K checkup. They said it was to low therefore they couldn't check my upper control arms. What crock of you know what!! They also mentioned something about my suspension being void... No SH$T!! Would love to have seen look on their face if they saw my SRS swaybar....

I have the Eibach pro-system (springs and dampers), which lowers the car about 1.25". It's not as much as a drop as some other suspension systems, but it makes the wheels look better in the wheel wells and the ride is firmer with less roll without severely affecting ride comfort.

You definately need to get a wheel alignment about a week or two after the suspension install (you need some time for the suspension to settle a bit). I got a 4-wheel alignment at a local mechanic for about $60 (no problems), much cheaper than the dealership (and your dealership doesn't have to know about the new suspension which may void your warranty) -- any local garage could do a wheel alignment.
