called the dealer dis morning, and got a quote for fixing the driver side regulator, $129 for a new regulator, and 61 for labor. believe that this is not a ripped off :beer: :beer:

Which dealer are you going to? Sounds very reasonable. Do they charge $61 per hour? Does it really cover ALL parts?

 

Quirk Volkswagon in Braintree MA, after that call, I called another dealer in Norwood MA, quoted part 129, labor 180... what a raper....OO

 

By Norwood, I assume you are talking about the VW Gallery? I get all my work done by them and have never had a problem. I'm pretty surprised they would quote 180 (3 hours) of labor.

60 bones is cheap for a stealer labor charge even for a indi shop. just be sure that thats how much it is TOTAL, and not 61 bones per hour!!!(which coming from a dealr) sound more realistic...

I don't think I have heard a case where one of those widow thingys went out in a b5.5.

 

I just paid 220 a side for my back windows an that includes the labor an parts through my vw mechanic.
